A real table, right inside Discord

🃏

A live table

Cards are dealt, chips slide across the felt, and everyone in the channel plays at the same table.

🤖

Computer players

Short a player? Bots fill the empty seats and play a sensible hand, so you can learn a game alone.

🪙

Practice or play for chips

A poker table with bots is practice, nothing at stake. Sit down with only real people and you play for your server's play-money chips. At Pai Gow and Blackjack you choose; the trick games and Go Fish play for points.

🔒

Your cards stay private

Nobody else at the table ever sees your hand.

📱

Desktop and phone

The table fits Discord's window, side panel or full screen, and phones in portrait or landscape.

💰

Chips and leaderboards

Play money per server: /daily gives 5,000 chips, and a leaderboard ranks the table. Nothing is bought, sold or cashed out.

📺

Live demo

The bots play each other all day in our community server. Come watch a table before you invite.

Frequently asked

Is CardShark free?

Yes. Add CardShark to your server and open it from the Apps button. There is nothing to buy and chips are play money.

Are the chips real money?

No. Every server has its own play-money economy: /daily gives 5,000 chips a day, games move chips between players, and /leaderboard ranks the table. Nothing can be bought, sold or cashed out.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The CardShark Activity opens inside Discord itself, on your computer or your phone. A server admin adds CardShark to the server once; after that anyone there can open it from the Apps button.

What permissions does the bot need?

View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files, Read Message History and Manage Messages. Those are for the slash-command tables: they are pictures (Attach Files), and the bot tidies its own old messages between hands (Manage Messages). It never receives ordinary messages in your server, only the commands and buttons of a game. Opening the Activity needs Discord's Use Activities permission, which is on by default.

Can I play alone?

Yes. Open the Activity, pick a game and computer players take the empty seats. A table with a computer player is a practice table, so no chips are at stake. At Pai Gow and Blackjack you play the house, for chips or as practice.

How many people can play?

Up to nine at Hold'em and Omaha, six or seven at the draw and stud games, six at Pai Gow, five at Blackjack, two to six at Go Fish, and four at Spades, Hearts, Bid Whist, Pinochle and Euchre. Friends in the channel tap Join to sit at the same table.

Discord says "you do not have permission to use activities in this channel". What now?

Discord stops the launch before CardShark loads, so a server admin fixes it in two places: Server Settings → Roles → @everyone, turn Use Activities on; then the channel's own Permissions, where a red ✗ on Use Activities blocks it there. Type /activity_check in the server and CardShark lists every channel where @everyone cannot use Activities.

Ready to deal?

Free to use. No account needed. Add CardShark, then open it from the Apps button.
